Breakout Sessions - March 27 at 11:00am and Repeated at 1:10pm
The Neighborhood Comedy Theatre's private team-building events use fun, low-pressure improv activities to help teams connect, communicate, and collaborate more effectively. No performance or improv experience is required--participants stay engaged, active, and laughing while building trust, listening skills, and creative problem-solving together.
Dorian Lenz is a Director at the Neighborhood Comedy Theatre in Phoenix. He previously served as Director of National Comedy Theatre San Diego, the city’s longest-running improv comedy show.
He began performing improv as a teenager and now brings more than 30 years of stage experience to his work. For over 25 years, Dorian has taught improvisers of all levels — from professional performers to students in high schools — as well as leading corporate workshops that focus on collaboration, creativity, and communication.
Dorian has performed across the United States and internationally, including tours in Germany, Holland, and Belgium with Armed Forces Entertainment, bringing laughter to U.S. troops abroad. His career has also taken him to countless festivals, corporate events, and stages nationwide.
When he’s not running shows or teaching, Dorian enjoys life in Mesa with his wife Krissy and their two kids, Zoe and Rocket, who keep him laughing (and humble) at home.
Jenna has been improvising since June 30, 2015, when she took her first class at UCB in New York City and was instantly hooked. In addition to improv, Jenna enjoys writing comedy sketches, trivia, movies, and has a fanatical love of good TV. (Do not engage with her on her favorite TV shows unless you are prepared to discuss them in great detail. Seriously – you have been warned.) When she’s not performing at NCT, she can be seen around Phoenix reading at her favorite restaurants.
Krissy began her improv career in the 1990s and has been delightfully embarrassing herself on stage for over 25 years. Other Krissy related time based statistics include more than 15 years of Directing, producing and teaching improv to participants ages 7-77. Looking for Krissy in a strictly audio format? Krissy is the producer and co-host of the Most Excellent 80s Movies Podcast and enthusiastic guest host of the Saturday Matinee podcast on trustory.fm
Krissy can also been seen occasionally in late night reruns on 3TV’s Your Life Arizona as the Guru of Geekery, which makes her gramma especially proud.
Jordan has been improvising and teaching improv since the mid 2000's. Jordan is a truly excellent human and father of two truly excellent children.
