ASSOCIATE DEGREES
An associate degree is earned after completing at least 60 credit hours of required courses at a community college. Upon transfer to the university, a student with an associate degree should need only an additional 60 university credits to complete a bachelor's degree.
ASSOCIATE IN ARTS
The Associate in Arts degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to four-year colleges and universities. In general, the components of the degree meet requirements for majors in the Liberal Arts or programs of study other than business or science, and will transfer as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. The AGEC-A is a component within the AA degree.
ASSOCIATE IN SCIENCE
The Associate in Science degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to Arizona's public universities in a variety of science-relate majors. In general, the components of the degree meet requirements for majors with more stringent math and math-based science requirements. Generally, the degree will transfer as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. The AGEC-S is a component within the AS degree.
ASSOCIATE IN BUSINESS
The Associate in Business degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to Arizona's public universities into a variety of business majors. Generally, these degrees will transfer as a block without loss of credit to Arizona's public universities. The AGEC-B is a component within the ABUS degree.

The Associate in Arts Elementry Education degree is designed for students who plan to transfer to an Elementary Education, Multicultural/Multilingual, or Special Education program at an Arizona public university.
